BIG-HEARTED PET LOVIN’ VOLUNTEER ***MASCOT NEEDED*** ¨ Where: Berth 55 located at 555 Pico Ave., Long Beach 90802 ¨ When: Saturday, September 26, 2026 ¨ Time: 11 AM to 3 PM Berth 55 wants to help animal lovers and loving animals find one another, so we’ve decided to host a one-day fest that will be uber-fun while bringing together deserving parents with those patient pets waiting on a forever home. Long Beach Animal Care Services will be bringing adoption-ready dogs and cats eager for a fresh start. Thank you, LBACS! I NEED YOUR HELP! I need one volunteer to wave folks in and pose for photos throughout this OUTDOOR EVENT. There are two mascots, but fortunately, I have someone for Paws, the cat. I need the other for Happy, the dog. It’s brand new and adorable, but it’s huge. I will pay to have it altered to YOU. That’s what I’m doing for Paws. You would need to be in the head from: 11:00 to 11:30 * Noon to 12:30 * 1:30 to 2:00 I can’t pay you but will comp you anything you want to eat or drink at the event and give you a $20 Berth 55 Gift Certificate to use whenever you want. The food is amazing. And, of course, you will be making the day so much more memorable. Maybe even help get a few more fur babies adopted! Look at you go! LBACS takes in between 5,000 and 6,000 lost and abandoned animals annually; animals who need medical attention, food, bedding, and care. It’s a lot. But, when community steps up, good stuff happens. If we can find a few good homes for a few furry friends, we’re all in.
