Food for Kids Delivery Driver on Wednesdays in Long Beach
Volunteer Center - Long Beach office is looking for adult drivers to join us to feed our kids and families. Opportunity: Food bag delivery to a local school in the Long Beach and Wilmington area for the Food For Kids program. Benefits: You will connect with caring volunteers and staff who seek to fill the gaps in food support in Long Beach. You will be partnered with a Long Beach school(s) to provide accessible food for students and their families. Additional Details: This is a school year commitment from Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 every Wednesday from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. You will need your own vehicle with space for 15-30 grocery-sized bags of food. Each bag weighs 8-12 pounds. You will need to be able to lift the bags in and out of your vehicle and onto a cart for delivery to the school. Estimated time commitment 1 to 2 hours. Must have current driver's license and insurance. This opportunity cannot be used for Court Referred Community Service Hours.
