Reading Day with Operation Teddy Bear 2026
We invite volunteers to help us deliver literacy bags to 1st grade students in school classrooms and read our self-published “Teddy’s Beary Tale,” which teaches the children the benefits of volunteering. Each literacy bag includes reading books, a STEM kit, a writing journal, learning clock, pencils, a toothbrush, and a teddy bear. Each year we deliver bags to more than 60 schools in the LBUSD, Torrance Unified, CUSD, and LAUSD. Readings at each school usually last an hour to hour and a half.
